The Urban Forestry Plan, tentatively titled Setting Roots & Growing Forward, is a comprehensive plan that outlines goals and methods for increasing the tree canopy of the city over the next 25 years. It addresses issues regarding tree planting on public and private land, land use patterns, sustainable development, related city services, landscaping legislation, green infrastructure, and so much more. As a lead contributor to this project, I am excited about the potential to develop a greener urban environment and envision action that supports sustainability at the individual, business, and municipal levels.
