In this exercise of computer modelling and representation I took a children’s toy (Snap Circuits) and modelled its parts in Rhino3D. Afterwards, I took those parts and created a bizarre assemblage of these components into a semi-symmetrical tower of sorts. From there, I transformed the 3D model into 2D representations of the object; first the component parts, then the whole structure.
I experimented with line weights in an attempt to make the image as legible as possible. The structure is well represented in plan with its complexity in full view. Colours that I added in the front elevation highlight the dynamic and flexible components contrasted against the hard plastic parts of the structure.
