About
Hey, I’m Josh. I like building and designing cool stuff for cities and communities. Take where you live and call me up; I’ll have a thousand ideas on how to make it more colourful, walkable, and sustainable. I’m more than delighted to take on any urban challenge you throw at me whether it be design, communications, or planning.
My interest in urban design and planning is one of those things where I look back at my childhood and ask “How the hell did I not notice this earlier?”. I was watching older kids doing geography projects and set out to draw myself a gridded island city-state; fit with every kind of shop, factory, utility, and residence carefully labelled in its city block. It’s a shame I didn’t keep that drawing, I can guarantee you it was better than some zoning maps you’ll find used by real cities today.
One day, you’ll live in a well-designed city, one that takes cues from the best and brightest; Haussmann, Olmstead, Sadik-Kahn, many others; all mixed in with some of my bright ideas. Living there will feel like a relaxed adventure, an oxymoron to drive our lives and ambitions forward. I await the chance to collaborate with you on this vision.
